The Vehicles screen shows the vehicles on file for each customer. You will be able to look a vehicle up by its plate or VIN and keep the details correct.
Before you start #
You need the dispatcher, advisor, manager or owner role. Deleting a vehicle is for the owner and manager.
Steps #
- Choose Vehicles in the sidebar.
- Type a name, phone number, plate or VIN in the search box. The customers that match appear on the left.
- Choose a customer. Their vehicles appear on the right.
- Choose Add vehicle and fill in at least a VIN, a plate or a make. Choose Save.
- Select a vehicle and choose Edit vehicle (Command-E) to change its details. An empty field clears the value.
- Owners and managers can choose Delete vehicle and confirm. A vehicle with repair, tow or invoice history stays on file and the server says so.
If something goes wrong #
- No customers match: check the spelling, or search by plate or VIN.
- A change made offline waits in the queue and reaches the server when the connection returns.
