Each bin holds one part number, a quantity and a reorder point. The list marks a bin Low when the quantity is at or under that point.
Steps #
- Choose Bins in the sidebar.
- Type the part number and the quantity.
- Choose Add bin.
- To move stock, the office server accepts a transfer between two bins that hold the same part. The source bin has to hold at least the quantity you move.
Learned labor #
The office server can suggest a labor time from the minutes of closed jobs. The suggestion is the median. Someone still writes the time on the repair order.
On the web console #
- Open "Parts bins" in the main menu. Each row shows the part number, the place (aisle, row and bin), the count, the reorder point and a Low or Stocked label. "Search by part number or place" and "Only bins that are low" narrow the list.
- Under "Add a bin", type the part number and the count. Aisle, row and bin start as A, 1 and 1 when left empty. Choose "Add the bin".
- Under "Move stock between bins", pick the bin to move from, then a second bin of the same part, type how many and choose "Move the stock". The part's total stays the same. When the source bin holds too few, the page says so.
- Under "Labor time from closed jobs", type the minutes of recent jobs, such as 90, 30, 60, and choose "Suggest a time". The suggestion is the middle value.
- Under "Claim file check", type the claim number, tick Photos and the estimate, and choose "Check the file". The page reports what is still missing, one item at a time.
