Situation #

Every truck is out and a tow call is waiting. A partner company has agreed to take it.

What keeps working #

  • The rest of your board and your own drivers carry on as before.
  • The tow job stays on your records, so the customer, the invoice and the history remain in one place.

Steps in order #

  1. Check the partner is on your list under Tow, then Partner companies. Add it with its phone and email if it is new (see partner-companies-and-sent-jobs).
  2. Choose the tow job and the partner, enter the agreed price and a note, and send. The partner job shows as sent.
  3. When the partner says yes, record accepted. When the partner says no, record declined and send the job to another partner.
  4. When the truck reaches the scene, record on scene.
  5. When the work is done, record completed with the final price and the partner's reference.
  6. If plans change at any point before completion, record canceled with a note.

How to confirm it worked #

Open the partner job. Its history lists each status with its time, and the final price shows beside the agreed price. The partner's open jobs count on the partner list goes down by one.

Afterwards #

Invoice the customer as usual (see invoice-a-tow-call). Pay the partner from your own books.
