Settle a taxi driver at the end of the week

Situation #

The week is over. The driver has taken cash and card fares, and you owe or are owed a balance.

Trips, shifts and receipts carry on as before. A settlement only reads finished trips.

Open Taxi, then Driver settlement.
Check the driver's commission and day fee are set (see driver-settlement).
Choose the driver and the dates, then preview.
Read the figures: fares by payment type, tips, commission, day fees and the net.
Check the net against the cash the driver hands over. A positive net means you pay the driver. A negative net means the driver pays you.
Save the settlement. It gets a number, and its trips are settled.
Exchange the money, then mark the settlement paid with the date.

The settlement appears in the list with its number and a paid date. A new preview for the same dates shows no trips left to settle.

Repeat for each driver. Keep the settlement numbers with your cash book.
