Add yard fees and invoice a vehicle's storage

The Storage and fees card shows what a vehicle in your yard owes. You will be able to add fees, void a fee made in error and raise one invoice for the storage and fees together.

Before you start #

• Dispatchers, advisors, managers and owners add fees. Owners and managers void fees. Advisors, managers and owners raise the invoice.

Steps #

1. Open Yard, choose a vehicle and find Storage and fees. The first line reads, for example, "4 days in the yard, storage so far $60.00."
2. Read the fees table: Fee, Amount, Added and Status. A fee waiting to be billed reads Waiting to bill, an invoiced one reads Invoiced and a voided one reads Void.
3. To add a fee, fill in Add a fee: the Kind of fee (Owner notice, Owner and lien search, Auction fee, Administrative fee or Other fee), the Amount and a Description. Select Add a fee.
4. To void a fee that no invoice carries yet, type the Reason for the void on its row and select Void.
5. Select Invoice storage and fees when you are ready to bill. The page says "Invoice ... for ... is ready." Select Open the invoice to see it.

If something goes wrong #

• A refusal message appears above the table: read it and fix the amount or the reason.
• "Nothing is waiting to be billed on this vehicle.": every fee is already on an invoice and no storage has built up since.
• The Add a fee button stays gray: type the fee as an amount such as 25.00.
