Entering your licence key

How to activate Pop Street Commerce with your licence key, or with a licence file if the computer has no internet.

Only the owner can open the Licence page. We usually do this with you at go-live, and it takes a minute.

Enter your key

  1. Open Licence in the left menu.
  2. Type the key from the email or letter we sent you.
  3. Press Activate.

Pop Street Commerce contacts the licence server once and stores a signed licence on your site. The status changes to Active. The key is kept encrypted and is never shown in full again. Only its last four characters appear.

No internet on this computer?

Ask us for a licence file. Paste its contents under Activate with a licence file. Pop Street Commerce checks it on your own site without needing to reach anyone.

Keep the key private

Anyone who has your key can ask for a licence for their own web address. If you think it was shared, tell us and we will issue a new one.

If something does not work

  • Web address does not match. A licence covers the addresses named on it. If you moved your store or changed your domain, ask us to update the licence. See Hosting options.
  • The key is not accepted. Check for a missing character. Copy it from our message and paste it, rather than typing it.
  • The Licence page says checking is not switched on. That can be so on a pilot copy. It is expected, and we turn it on at go-live.
  • A part of Pop Street Commerce says it is not included in your licence. Your licence may cover only certain parts. Ask us.

What the Licence page shows

Your status, the kind of licence, the end date or updates date, and a history of checks. You can also check for updates there. See Updates and releases.
