Updates and releases
How to check for a new release of Pop Street Commerce, which releases your licence covers, and how we can install it for you.

Pop Street Commerce improves over time. A release is a new version with improvements, fixes and new connections. Marketplaces also change their rules from time to time, which is one good reason to stay up to date.
Check for an update
- Open Licence in the left menu. Only the owner can do this.
- Press Check for updates.
- If there is a release your licence covers, a download button appears.
Pop Street Commerce also checks for you from time to time, so a new release can show up without you pressing anything.
Which releases you can have
- Yearly licence. Every release published while your licence is active.
- Perpetual or lifetime licence. Every release up to the updates date on your Licence page. After that date the software keeps working exactly as it is. You can extend the updates date, and we will quote it for you. Contact us for pricing.
- Custom term. As set out in your agreement. Your Licence page shows the dates that apply.
Installing
Ask us to install it. That is the simplest and safest way, because we know what changed. If your store runs on our hosting, we will tell you when it is done. See Hosting options.
Before any update, make sure you have a recent backup, and export your products, orders and customers if you want an extra copy. See Exporting your data.
If an update is not offered
- Your licence may not cover that release. Check the updates date on the Licence page.
- Your licence may have ended. See When a licence ends.
- Your site may not be able to reach the licence server. Try again later or ask us.
