Exporting your data
Your products, orders and customers are yours. You can export them at any time, whatever the state of your licence.
Updated Oct 25, 2026
Your products, customers and orders belong to you. You can export them whenever you like. This is true even if your licence has ended. See When a licence ends.
What you can export
- Products. From Inventory, as a spreadsheet file.
- Orders. From the orders pages.
- Customers. From the customer lists.
- Stock by location. The stock report can be exported as a spreadsheet.
- Reports. Sales by day, channel and shelf, in a form you can open in a spreadsheet.
Look for the export option on those pages. If you cannot find one, ask us and we will export it for you.
Opening the files
Files come as CSV, which opens in Excel, Numbers, Google Sheets and similar programs. If a cell looks strange, check you opened it as text and not as a formula.
Good reasons to export
- A copy before an update. See Updates and releases.
- Sharing numbers with your accountant.
- Keeping your own record every month.
- Moving to another system, if you ever choose to.
Look after your exports
A customer export holds personal details. Keep it somewhere private, do not email it around, and delete copies you no longer need. See Security and your data.
What does not come from Pop Street Commerce
Listings, reviews and messages live inside each marketplace. Pop Street Commerce holds your orders and your product records. For anything else, use the marketplace's own tools.
Your shoppers' data
Shoppers with accounts on your storefront can download their own information and close their account. When an account closes, their personal details are removed from the account and from their orders. The orders themselves stay in your books.
Backups are different
An export is a copy you can read. A backup is a full copy of the whole store, held on the server, for restoring it. Ask us to confirm a nightly backup is running. See Hosting options.
