Transfers between locations
How to move stock from one location to another, such as to Amazon or Walmart, and how short deliveries are recorded.
Updated Oct 25, 2026
A transfer moves units from one stock location to another, for example from your own storage to Amazon. It keeps your counts true while the box is on the road.
Make a transfer
- Open Stock, then Transfers, then New transfer.
- Choose where the stock is leaving from and where it is going.
- Add each product and how many units.
- Add a reference. For Amazon or Walmart, use the shipment number the marketplace gave you.
- Press Send. Or save it as a draft and send later.
Each transfer gets a number such as TR-0001.
What the statuses mean
- Draft. Nothing has moved. You can still change the lines.
- In transit. The units have left the source location and have not arrived. They are held on the transfer.
- Received. The units were added to the destination.
- Cancelled. Any units in transit went back to the source.
When the box arrives
Open the transfer and press Receive. Type the number that actually arrived for each line. If fewer arrived, Pop Street Commerce adds what arrived to the destination and records the shortfall on that line, so nothing disappears quietly.
Changed your mind
Press Cancel on a transfer that is in transit. The units return to the source location.
Transfers to Amazon and Walmart
You still create the shipment in the marketplace's own seller account first. Then make a transfer in Pop Street Commerce with the shipment number as its reference.
- For Walmart, Pop Street Commerce reads the shipment's progress and receives the transfer for you when Walmart reports it complete. See Walmart and WFS.
- For Amazon, it reads the shipment's status in a similar way. See Amazon and FBA. If the marketplace's answer is incomplete, you can still receive the transfer by hand.
Why bother?
During the days a shipment is on its way, those units are not on your shelf and not yet in the marketplace's count. A transfer shows exactly where they are, so your own channels do not sell units you have already sent away.
