Marketplace approvals and typical timelines
What each marketplace usually asks for and how long it often takes. Approvals are the marketplace's decision and times are typical, not promised.

There are two kinds of approval. Yours: your seller account, and permission to sell certain brands or categories. Ours: the marketplace reviewing the connection app we register for Pop Street Commerce. Every marketplace makes its own decision. We cannot open, speed up or guarantee any approval, and the times below are what is typical, not a promise.
Typical timelines
- Shopify: often the same day. A custom app on your own store needs no review.
- Etsy: often days to two weeks for app access. Etsy decides the level.
- eBay: typically one to three weeks on our side. Higher limits need a free review by eBay.
- Amazon: typically one to six weeks in total, covering developer registration and the Product Listing role. Brand and category permissions can add more.
- Walmart: seller approval is Walmart's decision and often takes weeks.
- TikTok Shop: seller approval often takes days, and app approval typically two to six weeks.
- Facebook and Instagram: the free feed takes an afternoon. Business verification and app review for a direct connection typically take two to six weeks.
- Google: the free feed takes an afternoon and the first approval a few days. Verification for a direct connection typically takes one to four weeks.
- Facebook Marketplace: posting by hand takes a minute, once Meta has made Marketplace available to your account.
What marketplaces usually ask for
- Your legal business name, address and tax details.
- A bank account for payouts, entered in the marketplace's own sign-up.
- Identity checks on the owner.
- Product photos, honest titles and descriptions.
- Barcode numbers (GTINs) for branded goods. See the Glossary.
- Shipping and return settings.
Our advice
- Start the slow ones first: Amazon, Walmart and TikTok Shop.
- Start with the free feeds while you wait. They need no approval of ours.
- Connect one marketplace at a time and publish a single test listing.
- If a marketplace says no, tell us what it said. We will help you answer it or choose another route.
