The Parts screen lists every active part with its bin, the count on hand, the reorder point and the price. You will be able to find low stock and correct a count.
Before you start #
You need the owner, manager, advisor or technician role.
Steps #
- Choose Parts in the sidebar.
- Type in the search box to filter by part number, description or bin.
- Choose Low stock only (Command-L) to show the parts at or below their reorder point. A low part carries a warning symbol next to its count.
- Select a part. The panel on the right shows its cost and price.
- Under Adjust the count, type a change such as 5 to add stock or -2 to remove it, add a reason and choose Adjust. The server records the change, the reason and your name.
- To add a new part, choose Add part. Type the part number, description, bin, cost and price, and the Count on hand now. Tick Charge sales tax on this part when it applies. The count you enter is saved as a stock movement, the opening stock, with your name. Only the owner, manager and advisor see Add part.
If something goes wrong #
- The count would fall below zero: the server refuses the change. Type a smaller number.
- The list is empty: parts appear once the shop stocks them.
